Donna Karan is putting a bit of concentration back into fragrance field, with a new fragrance, WOMAN, launching in August.

“This project represents Donna’s supportive messages to women,” said Veronique Gabai-Pinsky, global brand president of Aramis and Designer Fragrances, BeautyBank and Idea Bank at the Estée Lauder Cos. Inc., Karan’s fragrance licensee. “She has always tried to enhance every woman’s best features. She makes you feel beautiful, no matter what.”

And making you feel beautiful will be exactly how you feel once you wear this soon to be launched fragrance.

Ms. Karan noted that the fragrance is as complex as the women who will wear it. The collection will include eaux de parfum in two sizes, 1.7 oz. for $85 and 3.4 oz. for $115, as well as a 6.7-oz. body lotion, $50, and a 6.7-oz. body cleansing lotion, $45.

There are a ton of fragrances out there, but who would think...a scent that smells like library and airports? Not a complete shocker after news on the fragrance that smells like a MAC book, remember that one, but still a little out there.

Whatever it is to smell like you're in a library, you can do just that with 'In the Library' perfume, a perfume made up of a warm blend of English novel, Russian and Moroccan leather bindings, worn cloth and a hint of wood polish. What is the scent of English novel? It is the scent copied from the perfumers favorite novel published originally in 1927.  It has a 'marvelous warm woody slightly sweet smell' and put to it to immediately bottle it.

And if that's not weird enough for you, smell like an airport! Yes, that's right...smell like your favorite destination spot, whether it be New York, Tokyo, London or Paris, with The Scent of Departure perfumes.

This new line of perfume was designed with baggage tags in mind, and corresponds with your favorite airport. Each has a scent of its own to remind you how and why you love this place or that. The bottle from Paris bring top scents of bergamot, orange, lemon and a base filled with white musk, rice powder, and blonde wood.

Lucky us got to attend the HBA Global Expo and see hundreds of beauty and packaging professionals this week!  Part of the expo features an award ceremony, in which it honors the year's most innovative packaging in several categories, including cosmetics, fragrances, personal care, skin care and sustainability. Just recently, sampling/travel size products and at home devices and tools have been added to the program.

Who judges the awards? Let's just say it's a large committee (of 100) who are industry pros, designers, suppliers and members of the media and they have much to evaluate, such as originality, design concept, creative use of new materials, components and decorating processes, technical competency and effective brand messaging.

Singer Jessie J has admitted to wanting her own perfume, as well as creating her own range of clothes for a clothing line.

She said: 'I want to start up charities. I want to earn money to give it away. I want to do campaigns. I'd love to have my own TV show, my own clothing line, my own perfume. Everyone wants their own perfume, right?' 'I love getting dressed up but I want to be remember for singing. I am styling myself at the moment. Fashion is something that I love to do. But I am definitely not making everything about image.'

What if we told you a little robot named 'Oily', short for 'oilfactory" emits a waft of a scent, of your choice, each and every time your name appears on a social media outlet? Customize the scents to differentiate between a re-tweet or a regular comment, the inventor of Oily, Ben Redford says, "We are gradually spending more and more time on screen and it's good to have some other form of sensory stimulus rather than just video and audio," and, "We wanted to reward people in the physical world for their digital and social interactions,"

Real slick, beauty editors and Little Monster fans all over the world, Lady GaGa's first ever pefume, FAME, was leaked on Twitter and went pretty viral all over the internet.  This 'black fluid' was said to smell like a cheap hooker, but on the back of the box, it says it smells like: tears of Belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchidea with a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot, and the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops.

                   The perfume is from the Haus Laboratories in Paris and is "First of it's Kind, this perfume is an innovation in fluid technology. It's black like the soul of fame, but invisible once airborne".

Deep, dark, and compounded by Lady GaGa and a bit reminiscent of Angel by Thierry Mugler, no?
