Evan Rachel Wood New Face of Gucci Fragrance
Gucci's creative director, Frida Giannini, told WWD she chose Wood, who appeared in "The Wrestler," "...as she has very strong character. She’s young, but rising and [an] influential figure. I didn’t want to offer this project to someone overexposed or too well known. Instead, I wanted a fresh individual that would coincide with the image of the project.”
Wood got her start in 1998 in "Practical Magic," with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman.
Chloé to Launch New Women's Fragrance
Roman Coppola, Raquel Zimmermann
Chloé announced the launch of its new women's fragrance -- love, chloe -- in Paris this week at the famous Apicius restaurant.
Created by Hannah MacGibbon, love, chloe is "radiant, generous, feminine, understated chic." The fragrance will be available in perfumeries throughout Europe in September.
The event drew a whirlwind of guests, including a smathering of celebrities and journalists.
The Scent of World Cup Soccer: Eau De Stade
The World Cup fragrance is the closest thing to scratch n' sniff you'll get while watching. Sky+HD, a pay-for-broadcast service, is hoping viewers will wear the scent while watching high-definition soccer in an effort to transport themselves to the actual games.
Stevens, the face of Eau de Stade, said: "Although I can't make it out to South Africa, a spritz of Sky+HD Eau De Stade means I can bring a little bit of the World Cup to my living room."
Calvin Klein Beauty: Notes Revealed
"Inglorious Basterds" actress Diane Kruger will appear in Calvin Klein advertising campaigns as the face of Beauty. The floral top note is jasmine while the dry down is a musky cedarwood.
The curvy bottle lined with a metallic silver ring will complement the blend of femininity and power that the scent represents.

Comme des Garcons' Rolls Out Short Film for Latest Fragrance
Most design houses launch fragrances with racy ads or red-carpet shindigs, but Comme des Garcons is marking its launch of Wonderwood with a short film that is both slightly creepy yet in line with the Japanese fashion label's flare for the unconventional.
The three-minute video opens with drab colors and what appears to be a doll's face (or what's left of it), followed by the words, "Someone who loved wood more than words can say." From there, we're taken on a twisted journey filled with woodsy elements like pine cones, acorns and troublesome woodpeckers.
Marc Jacobs Bares All for Bang
"Once I agreed to be the model, I couldn’t see what I would wear to express this. We tried it with clothes, but it didn’t work," Jacobs told WWD in an exclusive interview.
Although it's the first time Jacobs has modeled for his own product line, it's not the first time he's appeared naked. In 2006, he and business partner Robert Duffy were nude on the cover of WWD for a campaign involving melanoma awareness.
Bang will be available July 30, and the ad will begin running this fall. Maybe he should've named his fragrance Buff.

Paris Hilton ... Such a Tease
For the advertising campaign, Hilton dressed up like Marilyn Monroe. "I got to dress up like my idol Marilyn Monroe, and we ended up with some great photos. She's always been such an inspiration to me," reported the Daily Star.
"Tease is a really sweet and flirty scent, so the name is very fitting. It's playful and sexy - perfect for grabbing attention," she added.
