Over on StyleList, I read how Starbucks uses perfume technology to generate new flavors. The coffee chain is launching four new flavors and invited fragrance king and NY Times' columnist Chandler Burr to host a "scent and coffee tasting." Hermes adding Iris Ukiyoe to Hermessence collection

Hermes is adding another scent to its Hermessence line of fragrances at the end of November. Iris Ukiyoe got its name from Ukiyo-e, a form of Japanese wood-block painting. Translated, this means "images of the floating world." Perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena focuses the new Hermes perfume on the iris flower, as opposed to the iris roots. Look for the fragrance exclusively at Hermes stores and online.
