Halle Berry and Fergie receive coveted fragrance awards

Fifi fragrance awardsHalle Berry has won the Fragrance Foundation's FiFi Celebrity of the Year Award. The actress will receive this honor at the upcoming FiFi Awards on May 25 in New York.

This award, presented by the Foundation’s board of directors, is to honor a celebrity who has embraced and promoted the world of fragrance over a period of time. Berry has a line of fragrances that include her signature Halle by Halle Berry, Pure Orchid and Reveal.

Rihanna fragrance ad doctored in Middle East

Rihanna perfume adA recent fragrance ad touting Rihanna's new fragrance, Reb'l Fleur, was censored in Kuwait for baring too much skin. The Middle Eastern country appeared to Photoshop the ad so that the rock star's robe is closed. In the U.S. version of the ad, Rihanna's robe is open.

Kate Middleton's wedding-day fragrance revealed

White Gardenia PetalsIt has finally been revealed. The scent that Kate Middleton chose to wear on her wedding day. The new Duchess of Cambridge, outfitted in an Alexander McQueen dress, was wearing White Gardenia Petals by Illuminum, a small British design house, according to the Daily Mail.

Apparently the scent has since sold out, and the brand has a two-week waiting list for women who want to score a bottle of the new bride's favorite fragrance.

Nicki Minaj wants to launch fragrance for the 'sensual' woman

Nicki Minaj plans to launch her own perfume in the near future. The rap diva told Allure magazine recently that she wants to create a scent that is "light, but strongly recognizable." Details about the fragrance aren’t available yet, but Minaj told Allure she likes the idea of a scent that appeals to the sensual woman. Minaj will be joining Britney Spears on tour this summer.

Vincent Cassel is starring in Yves Saint Laurent's latest fragrance ad as the face of La Nuit de L’Homme. Directed once again by "Black Swan's" Darren Aronofsky, Cassel is shown seducing three beautiful women in Paris. The commercial does a stellar job at capturing the essence of La Nuit de L'Homme which, according to YSL, is "wildly sensual" and "magnetic."

Elizabeth Taylor tops the list of best-selling celebrity fragrances

Elizabeth Taylor's White Diamonds perfume sits at the No. 1 spot - again - on Euromonitor International's list of top-selling celebrity perfumes for 2010. White Diamonds garnered $54 million, a big chunk of the overall $215 million brought in by the top 10 fragrances, according to Forbes.com. Next up was Derek Jeter's Driven with $27 million in sales, followed closely by Beyonce's Heat at $21 million.
