Artist to Sell Sweat as Perfume to Tourists
So this may be the most disgusting perfume news ever, but Daniel Peltz, a conceptual artist from Sweden, is planning to collect sweat of Swedish glass-blowers as they work and sell it as perfume to tourists!
The glass-blower´s sweat and work is something that tourists appreciate when they come here and look. So for me there isn´t such a huge difference in selling the glass-blower´s sweat and the finished glass," the American explained.
And what do the glass-blowers think about this 'project' of Peltz?
They are happy to provide their sweat for the project. Interesting.

“The perfume reflects Marni’s fashion, certainly,” said Consuelo Castiglioni, Marni’s creative director to WWD. “Because it’s a perfume that’s quite individual, that doesn’t evoke anything in particular. It’s for a woman who dresses for herself, who doesn’t follow trends but is sophisticated and also maybe a little eccentric.”
The line will consist of body lotion, shower gel, body cream and a deo-fragrance. The scent is a floral and fruity one, blending spicy and woody notes with a dark, intense rose oil to 'inject voluptuousness'. “It’s very modern and bold,” said Veronique Gabai-Pinsky, global brand president of Aramis and Designer Fragrances, who has partnered with Marni in licensing and creating the innovative fragrance.
Dennis Basso to Launch Fragrance for QVC
November 5th, Dennis Basso will launch his first ever fragrance exclusively on TV on the QVC channel and expand into Harrods and internationally in March.
The scent is intended to complement both Basso’s upscale collection, as well as the affordable faux furs, ready-to-wear and accessories he sells on QVC. Basso’s association with QVC spans two decades.

“I love the idea of being able to dress women and give them part of my world,” Basso told WWD. “I truly wanted this to be a signature fragrance, but this is just the beginning. I would love to do more scents in the future, and create complementary products like sachets. I’ve waited so long to do this — I didn’t want to make something just for the sake of doing one, so I was extremely involved in putting it together.”
The scent can be worn day or night; top notes include Italian bergamot, lemon, and crisp green; a heart of orange blossom, jasmine sambac and French tuberose, and a drydown of cedarwood, cashmere woods and white musk.
In keeping the taste for luxe finishes, the fragrance bottle's outside edge will be banded with faux fur. “I wanted it to look luxurious and modern, with some weight to it,” he added. It is topped with a faceted crystal with an engraved silver-tone plaque.
