The Fragrance Foundation has announced its top 10 FiFi finalists for 2011. This year was a little different than past years' awards given an online voting procedure. The top 10 will be widdled to five in April. The annual FiFi Awards, known as the "Oscars" of the fragrance industry, takes place May 25 at New York's Lincoln Center.
Last year's winners included heavy hitters like Avon, Chanel, Coty, Estee Lauder and Bond No. 9.
It looks like Chanel, Coty, Bond No. 9, Inter Parfums, PUIG USA and P&G Prestige are scattered among the top categories, which include Women's Luxe, Men's Luxe, Women's and Men's Specialty Luxe, Broad Appeal, Indie Brand and Specialty Brand.
A sampling of women's fragrances that grace the list include Giorgio Armani's Acqua di Gioia, Givenchy's Ange ou Demon Le Secret, Chance eau Tendre from Chanel, Belle D'Opium by Yves Saint Laurent and Bond No. 9 Washington Square. Men's fragrances include newcomer Bleu De Chanel, Chrome Sport by Azzaro, Dolce & Gabbana The One Gentleman, Marc Jacobs Bang, One Million Paco Rabanne and Bond No. 9 Cooper Square.
